General Kuzoh
Apparently a warlord of some repute in the Goblinoid community, General Kuzoh appears to have been the martial leader in charge of the successful Siege of Bridlip. The Ladies' Hiking Club encountered him alongside Decima Overmere and The Silent Man at the lowest level of The "Lighthouse".
Kuzoh appeared to be answerable to Overmere, and at least allied with the silent cultist, though there were obvious tensions between them -- particularly between himself and Overmere, whom he criticized openly for poor planning, "wasting" the six other cultists in some form of ritual sacrifice and waiting too long to initiate missile combat against the adventurers. Overmere parried those accusations with strategic considerations of her own concerning the timing of their operations with the Lantern. It is unclear, given the party's lack of knowledge of their mission parameters, which of the two was correct in assessing the situation.
Kuzoh did not participate in the combat with the Hiking Club himself, but Beulah Garland used some of her Bardic magic to heat the metal in his plate mail, scalding and burning him badly over several minutes. Kuzoh ignored the pain and methodically removed his armour, often dropping chunks of flesh with it. By the time the Silent Man fell, Kuzoh was bloodied, burned and torn above the waist with his greaves still red-hot. Over her objection, Kuzoh seized an artifact from within Overmere's silk robe, teleporting the two of them away.
Several weeks later, Ulf, a retired Orcish soldier from Lakeshore, advised Beulah Garland upon inquiry that Kuzoh was the greatest of living generals in his homeland. He did not specify what land that was, and he did not know why Kuzoh was working with Overmere, but suggested he had likely been hired to do so.
Current Operations
Numerous sources have reported to the Club now that General Kuzoh is involved in a war of conquest/unification against other goblinoid tribes. Reghyxesh noted that he had attended at The Arcanaeum shortly before the Club arrived, but held its prehensile tongue as, in its words, "General Kuzoh purchased silence."“A good customer. A warlike king riding a flea-bitten horse. He has united four of the six clans beneath his bronze banner. Wise, calculating. GOOD, HARD DEALS. Overpays for aged wine. It is said he ordered retreat at Ghozin, and was obeyed." The Beholder runt laughed. "Dangerous man."Kuzoh might have purchased silence from Reghyxesh, but apparently he did not count on his plans being undermined by the deceased. The Club gathered from The Hobgoblin Who Got His Dog’s Throat Cut And His Balls Almost Torn Off in The Non-Canonical Demiplane that Kuzoh was in the course of a campaign against the Black Sun tribe -- the fifth tribe that would fall under his banner if he were to be successful. The Hobgoblin further volunteered that he knew Kuzoh was in town buying reams and reams of Flying Carpets, and that the great general regretted his pact with Decima Overmere. The Hobgoblin described a general that was eager for the opportunity to have the elite Sixteenth Legion on loan from The Corran Empire, and that dismissed the teenaged royal's Goth phase as she pursued an idle interest in Naraoch and the Lanterns preserving her relics. Kuzoh, the Hobgoblin suggested, did not expect what he found when she got off the ship: that he, a career soldier in the most brutal civilization on the continent, would find her "impressive". She arrived with intent and a plan of operations, in addition to inexplicably commanding Sylvio Overmere's Sixteenth Legion. Somehow, the ditzy socialite changed gears and seized the respect of the chauvinist, misogynist, racist, casually violent goblinoid people. The Hobgoblin had great respect for Kuzoh, as has everyone the Club has spoken to about him. His description, however, seems to portray a superlative commander despairing of having made a deal with the devil.
