Divination Tower

The Divination Tower is the northern most Imperical tower on the eastern coast of Obica. The crystal at the top glows a minty green that can be seen at night.   The tower is guarded by a series of lasers that deal psychic damage to those who approach without authorization. One such casualty to the tower was Bartholomew.   The guardian of the tower, Morios the minotaur, recognized Nel as an "adjudicator" and leader of the Kalashtar people, including himself, and granted him access and authority in the tower. Morios had been isolated in the tower for over 1,000 years, and was devastated to know that the Kalashtar people were nearly wiped out on Obica, but grateful they survived in the Exodus Lands. He has a metal disc imbedded in the back of his neck that allowed him to control the tower remotely.   Morios did not appreciate having the tower turned off. When the tower was turned off, he transformed into a crystalline beast to defend the tower. During battle he was broken into pieces, and the only remains of Morios was a small, egg-shaped object with a very tiny crystal inside where his heart would have been.   The object plugged into a wall socket, and showed two holographic scenes of how Morios became the tower guardian. The first showed Saris, an Imperial officer, checking in on the tower and "mind melding" experiments on the minotaur that was captured from the mountains. They are having difficulty because there is already another entity attached to him - one of the Kalashtar. Saris tells them that she intends to stay and see the project through, and to ready offices for her on teh second floor.   The second scene is of Morios, bound and outstretched on a slab. The scene that plays depicts the insertion of the egg/heart item, and Saris enjoying torturing Morios in the process.   After they viewed the holographs, Morios said that he was free, and his spirit dissapated.   The second floor is Morios's living area, but also where the experiemnts that led to him becoming guardian of the tower took place. The floor contained a smashed cage, the slab where Morios's operation took place, his bed with a homemade minotaur doll, a chest full of research notes and documentation on the Kalshtar and a Kalashtar Mind Blade, a table with an All Purpose Tool and a Ring of Regeneration.
