Lycanthum
Lycanthum was a major city on the western coast, which existed first as an independent magocracy and then a provincial capital in the Aurean Empire. Often called the Last Magocracy by wizards who wrote longingly for the Bay of Andrasius's more magical past, it was long known for it's large population of mages and how magic infused everyday life within the city, often in spectacular ways. In 4792 AY, the city was destroyed after a massive tidal wave that was believed to have supernatural origins hit the coast, which tore away much of the coastline and created The Teeth.
About half of the city now sits on the cliffs at the edge of The Teeth. Its tall spires are visible from a great distance, and if one brings a ship close they can see the remnants of the parts that fell sticking up above the waves at the base of the cliff. Much of what remains sits on an unnaturally large overhang and parts sit on earthmotes that float over the ocean. The damage caused by the wave appears to have resulted in a magical chain reaction within the city. This caused, among other things, a huge fire which gutted what remained of the city and opened portals that brought through strange creatures, many of which still dwell within the cities ruins.
