The Teeth

The Teeth are a long stretch of jagged cliffs that stick out unevenly into The Howling Sea. The cliffs are pale and largely devoid of plant life, giving them the appearance of teeth to those on the ships that pass below. The high winds blowing over this area are strong enough to leave the top largely treeless, and only a small number of the hardiest people and creatures dwell here.
The cliffs were created by a massive tidal wave in 4792 AY. The tidal wave destroyed most of the few settlements existing in the area, then known as Bareshore due to it's lack of trees. This included the city of Lycanthum, then the largest settlement for a great distance.
