The Circle of the Heavens

The Circle of the Heavens was an order of metallic dragons devoted to Deyallor, created with the goal of uniting all humans under the banner of a single empire and leading what they saw as a backward race to their full potential. The circle created what became known as the Aurean Empire for this purpose, and led it to great size and power during what became known as The Age of the Dragon Emperors. They ruled the empire for well over two thousand years gradually the dragons lost patience. The last few members eventually gave up, having lost hope in humanity, and the Circle was disbanded in 2160 AY. The last dragon emperor, Andothrax, abdicated in 2162 AY and then disappeared, leaving the empire to its fate.
