Shade Master
Qualifications
The masters are those who have become so skilled, knowledgeable, wise and powerful in their years that they are distinguished even among the other riders. These riders are highly looked up to as models for their fellows in the guild.
Appointment
Being chosen as a Shaded Master is a huge honour and is done by a vote of those of higher rank. In the event of a tie, the other Shadow Masters and Grandmane will weigh in the reinforce one choice or another.
Duties
The masters tend to handle the less grave decisions in the grandmane's stead. These Masters also see to some tutoring and training of the more senior apprentices and squires. To receive tutelage in this way is a promising sign that those of lower rank are recognized for their efforts.

Accoutrements & Equipment
A panther pin denoting their status is gifted when achieving this rank. The pin denotes 4 circles in obsidian, displaying their rank clearly for all to see.
