Chiko

Chiko is the second rank of kitsune, after Ashireiko, which is achieved when a kitsune reaches 100 years old and gains the ability to take human form.

Human-kitsune hybrids, being born in human bodies, begin their lives already at this rank.

At this rank, kitsune begin to gain extra tails as they age (up to a maximum of nine). They are still purely physical beings, needing to eat to survive and lacking the ability to possess other beings that higher rank kitsune gain.
