Kira Yukimura

Kira Yukimura is a Kitsune affiliated with the Hale-McCall Pack, and the daughter of Yukimura Noshiko and Ken Yukimura.

Personal history

Kira Yukimura was born in New York in 1995, the only child of Ken Yukimura, a Human academic, and Yukimura Noshiko, a Kūko rank Byakko Zenko.

She had a normal childhood, as her mother chose to keep her Kitsune status from her.

She didn't encounter the supernatural until after the restoration of The California Nemeton, when her family moved to Beacon Hills so her mother could monitor The Nogitsune.

During her first week attending Beacon Hills High School, she met and formed a mutual attraction to Scott McCall, and through him met the rest of the Hale-McCall Pack when Scott invited her to Derek Hale's birthday party.

The Nogitsune, learning of her existance and connection to Noshiko from the party, sent William Barrow after her. She survived the attempt on her life, as Barrow tried to electrocute her, and as a Kinko Kitsune, she has the ability to obsorb electricity.

During the attack, she witnessed Scott McCall's half shift, and he saw her absorbing the electricity. Although he didn't know what species she was, Scott filled her in on the existence of the supernatural, and the members of his pack, and promised to help her figure out what she was.

After the attack, Kira's phone was taken into evidence by Beacon County Sheriff's Department. However, it contained photos showing Kira's kitsune aura. When she explained the problem, Scott and Stiles Stilinski helped her to break into the police station to erase the photos.

While sneaking through the dark station to get the phone, Scott used his Werewolf eyes, and saw Kira's aura for the first time, figuring out that it resembled a fox, which allowed Kira to make the connection to the myths of Kitsune her mother had told her as a child.

Although the pack (and Martin Pride) had initially assumed the Oni were malicious, the Argent Clan were able to learn from Kashiwagi Katashi that they were searching for a Yakan. Kira feared it was her, but Scott convinced her that she couldn't be evil, and she allowed them to test her, recieving the Jiko mark.

After Derek Hale was revealed to be Possessed by the Nogitsune, Kira assisted the Pack in their attempts to capture him. She was present at Beacon Hills Animal Clinic when the Nogitsune broke in and tortured Scott, feeding on the pain he had absorbed.

Not until the Nogitsune, now sepperated from Derek, attempted to infect her father in order to discover where Noshiko had hidden her last Tail did her mother finally reveal the full truth to her, including her own kitsune nature and her history with the Nogitsune.

She also had Kira repair the shattered Yukimura Katana, and gifted it to her.

She took part in the battle at Oak Creek Relocation Centre.

When the pack was forced the retreat to The Nemeton Grove, she chose to return home to protect her parents. However, they were soon attacked by Oni and the Infected townspeople, and had to be rescued by the pack, after which they also retreated to the Grove.

During the final conflict with the Nogitsune and infected citizens, she was part of the group which faced the Nogitsune and Oni, using the Yukimura Katana as her Spiritual Weapon.
