The Curse of Nyctimus

The name given by Werewolves to the fact that their eyes change from golden to blue if they take an innocent life, allowing them to be more easily identified as potential threats by Hunters.

The name comes from Nyctimus, the son of Lykaon, who was killed by his father, leading Lykaon to become the first werewolf. It is said that the spirit of Nyctimus placed a curse on his father, so that everyone would know the terrible crime he had committed.
