Cetea (Seh-tay-uh)

Overview

Attempting to categorize the giant monsters that terrorize the oceans around Ogygia is a task few are interested in undertaking, and so these creatures, assumed to be further spawn of Phorcys and Ceto, are collectively referred to as the cetea (singular cetus). From giant fish with many ship-crushing tentacles, to serpents with crayfish tails and a hundred paddle-shaped limbs, the cetea are universally the bane of any ocean traveler. They feed on entire schools of fish and even whales, and they can demolish ships within moments. Some can breathe boiling steam, frigid cold, or bolts of lightning, or even control the weather around them. Some consider them the tyrant-gods of the ocean, while others hunt them for the ultimate proof of strength and valor.
Any huge or gargantuan sea creature can represent a cetus, including sea serpents, krakens, or dragon turtles. All cetea have the monstrosity type and know no languages.
