Society had all but collapsed during the rebellion. The leaders of the Ashlaker Timberlands assembled a council of trusted and proven minds, but the people were accustomed to a singular leader, a Emporer. The council nominated the war hero Enoria Dawnbringer to take the seat, and she humbly accepted, but rejected the title of Emperor or Empress, instead wishing to be addressed as Sovereign if a title was required. The council unanimously agreed the realm should be renamed but to what the descions was arrived upon it should be called “Olcari.” With power divided amongst the Sovereign and the council, the leaders cleared their realm of most corruption and brutality.
As Asamoor was mostly destroyed and the corruption from the friendish allies of Abastel still lingered, the decision was reached to move the capitial to where it is today; Inion.
As the citizens were granted more freedoms under Archduchess Enoria rule; such as the freedom to practice religion and magic as they please, and the slave industry was brought to an end. Equality and diversity previal. However some took these freedoms too far such as those magical practioners with idealations of opening the gateways to other planes, or using necomancy to raise the dead, or using their magical powers with the ambition to create a magocracy and overthrow the current rule, by trying to assasinate Archduchess Enoria , thus sparking The Arcane War, and the introduction of the regulations that surrond magic today enforced by the Arcana Pansophical.
