Dord The Folk Tale
Master Dord (a.k.a. Faelon's Little Champion)
Dord is one of the heroes who lead the charge against Cedrick's attempts to conquer the 3 primary planes using the armies of the Shadowfell. His involvement is largely unknown by the world, as he requested Nori leave his name out of the work based on their quest together.
Dord is one of the most powerful heroes in the world, being a master of multiple martial arts styles, a mountainous source of strength, and wielder of multiple powerful magical artifacts.
Dord acts as a mentor to new adventurers, often providing help and gifts to small groups on their travels. Those who have met Dord occasionally describe an aura of inspiration and pride emanating from him, and moments where he feels pride for their actions during moments of extreme duress.

Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Few can match Dord's purely physical speed and strength. Those who are willing to put his strength to the test are rarely disappointed.
Body Features
Dord is missing the ring finger on his left hand due to an encounter with an Abberation in the Hills of Shade during his travels through Karica.
Physical quirks
Through his physical and mental training, Dord's body has begun to slow it's ageing. Dord is worried that this effect is increasing in strength, and will eventually cause him to stop ageing permanently.
Special abilities
Dord's abilities stem mostly from his adventuring equipment, or physical strengths, rather from magical ability, however, due to his heritage as a Mountain Dwarf, Dord's capabilities do improve when in a stone filled environment, seemingly being empowered by the earth itself.
Apparel & Accessories
Dord wears a basic adventuring outfit, which has been enchanted with protection and amplifying runes. One of which allows Dord to sprout wings which he can use to travel long distances or in combat against flying enemies.
Specialized Equipment
Of Dord's equipment, three items stand out. His Dragon Handwraps, gifted to him by Faelon, enchanted Bracers of Strength, and The Crown of the Kobold King, previously known as The Crown of Turnoli Chainbringer. The Handwraps serve as the source of flame in Dord's fighting style, while also empowering his strength. His Bracers of Strength further empower Dord, especially when grappling his opponents.
Dord's Crown gives him the ability to empower himself in combat, while also giving him some power over others' dreams. While the powers gifted by the Crown are powerful, Dord is extremely hesitant to use it, or let it leave his side, lest it fall into the wrong hands.

Mental characteristics
Education
In his early life, Dord was raised and taught by his mother. After she passed, his father did little to teach him and his brother of the workings of the world. Their childhood curiosity lead them to the Cereasian Pillar Monks, who were more than willing to take them in and teach them.
Dord studied under a master of the Cereasian Pillar Monastery, known as Abrosh. Master Abrosh taught Dord about self impovement in the pursuit of protecting others under the Six Pillars philosophy. Dord was largely self taught in his fighting style, however Master Abrosh, took the time to teach him as much as he could prior to his journey to find his brother.

Employment
Dord typically works through acts of charity, however he often does work for his old companions, namely Faelon, Globaba, and on a rare occasion, Vaanchi and Batzori. Typpically this involves recoving an artifact from a dangerous set of ruins. Usually this leads to Dord collecting the artifact while saving a group of foolish adventurers from certain death.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Dord's journey began with small deeds for the people in need he saw around him, whie traveling from town to town. When he found himself on Ilthazad however, his deeds started to grow.
Dord and his companions were able to free Ilthazad of it's curse through the defeat of three beings upholding the curse, and the defeat of a Leng ghoul. After leaving Ilthazad, Dord and his companions were tasked with defeating Cedrick, who had taken over controll of the Empty Throne in the Shadowfell. While attempting to prevent Cedrick's Eclipse, Dord and his companions were able to defeat many of Cedrick's lieutenants, including a Lich, a young Umbral Dragon, and Cedrick himself.
Dord took part in the final battles against Cedrick, facing two of the three Grey Deaths which Cedrick split into upon his defeat.
During a low period of their quest, Dord took part in the B.L.U.R.G.H, fighting several matches in the tournament, and eventually taking the belt as the new champion.

Failures & Embarrassments
Few failures haunt Dord as much as his first encounter with Cedrick's Lich. While traveling to meet with the rest of his companions, Dord's group carelessly wandered into the Hills of Shade, where they encountered an Abberrant creature, and Cedrick's Lich. When facing the Abberant monster, Dord lost a finger, however the group was narrowly able to escape. When face to face with the Lich, Dord's failed to maintain his will, causing him and his companions to nearly be killed, and forced to obtain a piece of Cedrick's broken Staff of the Magi, or be excecuted by the Lich in two weeks time.
Following his encounter with the Lich, Dord dedicated his training to the strength of his will, so that he would never again be too paralyseed in fear to act. Dord has kept himself from restoring his finger as a reminder to be concious of one's actions in the face of unknown danger.

Mental Trauma
Dord faced trauma as a child from the loss of his mother in a cave in accident, and the abuse from his father from neglect. His stay at the monastery prior to his journey helped him deal with this however, so it has not had much influence upon him since.
When he and his brother joined the monastery however, they ended up being separated by Derbut's talents, and his decision to take his journey years before Dord. While it was not uncommon to cease communication with the monastery while on your journey, Derbut was gone for a long time, much longer than usual. Because of this, Dord dedicated himself to finding Derbut on his journey, and going home with him to the monastery.
While on his journey, Dord gained possesion of the Uniter of Clans artifact, which magically bestowed him knowledge on many topics relating to the Dwarves. Most harmful to Dord however, was knowledge of his own bloodline. Dord was a direct descendant of Turnoli Chainbringer, the Dwarvish king of Tor'Haln, now known as Thyr'Vuln, who turned evil under the influence of his magical crown. When Dord obtained this corrupted crown, he intended not to use it, only to keep it's power away from Cedrick, however, approaching the final battles, Dord's allies encouraged him to use it, much to his worry that it would take him over as a new corrupted host. Now that the battle with Cedrick is over, Dord holds on to the crown, to prevent any with too weak of will from obtaining it, though he himself does not use it.

Morality & Philosophy
Dord is a practitionar of the Six Pillars Code. He does his best to uphold the moral good of his and his companions actions. Dord does his best to respect the law and the society that upholds it, however when faced with the notion that the governing force has done wrong, he will not restrict himself from acting.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Dord is heavily driven by a desire to help others.
Representation & Legacy
Dord's actions have been immortalized as folk tales passed along in the continents he visited while searching for his brother.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Dord made many powerful allies on his quest to find his brother. The members of his party have remained dear friends to Dord, and he would do near anything to serve or protect them if necessary. Notable allies of Dord include; Iron Hook Hawkins, Sequoia the King of Ilthazad, Clarissa, Vaanchi and Batzori, Rosales, Nori, Narin, Goro, Faelon the God of Trickery, Globaba the former God of Trickery, Anrea, and Alador. Some allies of Dord unfortunately passed before their adventures together came to an end.
Iron Hook Hawkins
Of his party, Dord met Hawkins last on Ilthazad. The group had just gotten some semblance of bearings, and then came across another person like them. Waking up in the cold, with no memory. Hawkins quickly made an impression on the group. An arrogant pirate captain, who had a knack for not wanting to share the treasures they found along the way. Despite this, Hawkins was more than ready for a team fight, especially with Dord by his side. In combat, Dord had never seen someone with such a keen eye for positioning and ranged prowess. Incredibly flexible in a fight, and incredibly brave when it counts. He would get the party into some crazy battles, and more than made up for it in what he could do with a firearm or a blade. In any fight against a titanic threat, Dord would be glad to have Hawkins by his side. Dord and Hawkins butted heads a lot when it came to his moral choices, but beyond that, Hawkins truly is a dear friend to Dord. He's displayed compassion and willingness to compromise when he's gone too far, and for that, Dord feels happy that he's rubbed off on Hawkins. Their close friendship and bickering really help filled the void where his childhood relationship with his brother should have been, and for that, despite never saying it, Dord loves Hawkins like family. Hawkins helped Dord become a less serious person. He taught him it was okay to loosen up and enjoy the limited time we had during our dangerous quest. To Dord, Hawkins is a man who earned his legend, as a dangerous and feared pirate, but also a dear friend, who will do what is right, even if there's no coin to be made.Clarissa
Dord met Clarissa at her library in the forests of Karica. Unfortunately, the meeting was during a low point in their adventure, when Hawkins made a deal with the Devil to betray our companions. Despite the rocky start, Clarissa was an incredible companion for Dord and the rest of the group, dedicating herself to their cause with little to gain herself. To Dord, Clarissa is an incredibly clever adventurer, who is more resourceful than most. Her expertise in medical sorcery for healing and necromancy is unlike anything he has ever seen, and he greatly respects her resolve to treat the dead and undead with the utmost respect.Goro
Goro was the first ally Dord lost on his adventures. Another man of strength, who likewise found himself stuck on an island with no memories of why they were there. Goro and Dord's sensibilities didn't always get with Dord often hesitating on their choices, but when Danger was near, Dord and Goro both were quick to act. They were able to work together to deafeat the evils of the island and restore the balance so they could return home, but that hope was snuffed out with Goro's death.Anrea
Despite how little time Dord spent with her, Anrea was a close friend. A willingness to see the good in others and learn from new friends is something Dord didn't see much of on his travels, so he treasured it from her. Training with her and learning with her on the night they met was a dear memory for him. It's likely why he became the leader of his monastery, instead of continuing to be a wandering nomad. Anrea was a sight for sore eyes for Dord. Finding her and the rest of her party in Thiriel helped Dord get through the endeavour with the lich. Without meeting them again, it would have been much harder to kill the lich when we next met him. Hearing that Anrea sacrificed herself was one of Dord's toughest days. It changed him into an angrier person. It was what pushed him into giving into his rage when a fight called for it. It made him strong enough to stop anyone else from dying to the blood-soaked hands of an enemy. Anrea was an inspiration to Dord. Willingness to learn, to sacrifice. Her dedication to her friends is what helped him realize the challenge ahead of them. And knowing he had her behind him, Cedrick could be stopped.Wealth & Financial state
Dord came away from his adventures quite wealthy compared to the average sword for hire, however, most of the wealth he possesses is in powerful magical artifacts, such as the Crown of the Kobold King, which he now protects from the world to prevent another disaster. Dord is also the owner of a pair of Dragon Handwraps, and a pair of Bracers of Strength, which empower his combat abilities to legendary feats. Finally, Dord is in possesion of the Uniter of Clans pendant, a symbol of attempts to peacefully address the issues of the Dwarven clans with other races and communities around them.
