John Wolfe

Overview

John Wolfe is a former Black Hawk hunter. He escaped in the Hawks 3193. He served with both the Omicron Military and D.O.M.A.I.N. during the Allegiance War and was made captain of the ONSS Defender, the flagship ship of the Navy.

Early Life

John Wolfe was born on Revgard in 3151 to Julia and Jackson Wells. He is the youngest of four children. His family lived comfortably in a small town, and Wolfe and his siblings attended the local school. From an early age, Wolfe wanted to join the military as a marine, following in his grandfather's footsteps. Those dreams were dashed, however, in 3165 when The Black Hawks raided the town and kidnapped him and his brother Connor.

Career

The Black Hawks

It was clear early on that Wolfe would excel at being a Black Hawk hunter. While he resisted at first, Damon Slade took young Wolfe under his wing and helped make him one of the best hunters the Hawks had ever seen. Even though he did well, that did not mean Wolfe agreed with what the Hawks tasked him to. In 3184, Wolfe came up with a plan to escape, but it took until 3193 to actually be able to act upon it. In this time, a group of ten people wanting to escape with him. Such an attempt had never been made, let alone successful, but it took all ten people and their various skills to make the escape work. Wolfe tried to get his brother, Connor, to leave with him, but Connor was loyal to the Hawks and while he let Wolfe go this time, he vowed that if he ever saw his brother again, he would kill him.
Slade made it clear that even though Wolfe had escaped, he would never escape Slade. Throughout the years after, Slade taunted and threatened Wolfe but was never able to bring him back into the fold.

The Allegiance War

Wolfe and his crew aboard the ONSS Red Chaser had just been saved by Captain Kansas Vantara and Lieutenant Lewis Auznarr when the texlors launched their first massive attack in the Main Sector. Wolfe had been badly wounded, so his actual participation in the war did not begin until later. Wolfe and his crew had been on their way to DOMAIN Headquarters to lend aid wherever they could, seeing as s few of the other that had escaped the Hawks with him had gone directly to work for DOMAIN.
Wolfe participated in all of the major battles of the war, including the retaking of DOMAIN Headquarters, the Battle of Yalren, and the final confrontation between the allied forces and the texlors.

Time with the Army

Not long after the end of the Allegiance War, Wolfe, who was listed officially as being a marine, was given the option of staying with the marines or choosing the army or navy path for the rest of his career. He chose the Omicron Army and was promoted to major in 3199. While he made an excellent ship captain, he much preferred to deal with ground troops.
Wolfe took in the role of General of the Army in 3218 when both General Keets and General Jameson declined the position, choosing to stay with DOMAIN instead.

Personal Life

Wolfe spent nearly three decades with the Black Hawks which left little time for a personal life.
In 3194, Wolfe along with his crew aboard the ONSS Red Chaser were rescued by Kansas Vantara and Lewis Auznarr. Reveal Personal Life Spoiler

He and Vantara did not get along right at first, but he recognized her as the leader she was and respected her. In 3206, he and Vantara officially begin dating and get married in 3209. He and Vantara have four children together: Montgomery, Robert, Julia, and Erith.
