Margaret Croft

Overview

Margaret Croft is most well known for being Prime Minister of the Omicron Quadrant

from 3166-3194 and then from 3199-3210. She served on the Omicron High Council twice, once before she became Prime Minister and then afterward.

Early Life

Margaret Croft was born on Scargil in 3131 to William Flush and Victoria Croft. William left the two of them when Croft was very young and when she turned 18, she took her mother’s name and decided that she would never marry in solidarity with her mother. Croft attended the Riel School of Knowledge and graduated in 3149.

Career

Omicron High Council

In 3150, Croft went back to Scargil to work as a secretary for Prime Minister Peter Booth. After Booth retired and Nina Hamilton took his place, Hamilton kept Croft as her secretary. Hamilton saw Croft's potential as a future stateswoman and encouraged her to run for a seat on the Omicron High Council. Croft became a member of the High Council in 3157. While there, she made a name for herself, and by 3166, Croft won the election for Prime Minister at age 35.

Prime Minister

When the allied planets began complaining about not having the same protection as human-dominated planets and colonies, Croft created D.O.M.A.I.N., which stands for Defending Omicron’s Major Alliances.
In an effort to maintain the alliances good standing, Croft reached out to two of the rarely heard from allies, the eldevians and the lorav, by asking for the best each species had to offer to come work for her as bounty hunters for the government. The best were Kansas Vantara and Lewis Auznarr.

Right after the start of the Allegiance War, Croft was kidnapped by the texlors and presumed dead until Captain Vantara found her on Felrev in 3195. The texlors, along with their silhadox allies, were attempting to turn a living human into a texlor and used Croft as one of their first experiments. Vantara found her just in time to save her life.
After the war ended, Croft resumed the ministership in 3199 until 3210 when she retired and went back to serve on the High Council.

Return to the High Council

After retiring, Croft returned to the High Council. She worked closely with Chancellor Flush and Admiral Vantara during that time, helping the Quadrant flourish like it never had before.

Personal Life

Croft never married and never had any children, though she has said multiple times that she considers Iris Porter a daughter.
