Session III - Shadow's Cast: The Black Blade and the Golden Chain Report
General Summary
The group finished up their preparations for the week long journey to Garring Keep. Lord Cornwallis was visibly nervous, shifting about and staring deep into the shadows around the Holy Grale.
He pulled Euman aside, prompting him to gather the rest of the group to make haste out of Bon Venon, fearing the Obsidian would be watching - fearing what they would do. DDH&A soon found his fears had veracity, discovering two stowaways in the hold of the Holy Grale. Locking one up, they chased the second to a small hamlet by the name of Whitewall in the wilderness between Bon Venon and Garring Keep, killing him and a co-member of the Obsidian Syndicate, and finding a small shop in the town with signs of the guild's presence.
The "Beacon of Faith" was filled with religious tokens, as Omepheus discovered. Meanwhile, the rest of the group found a gold elven chain on one of the Obsidian spies.
What will the group do with this information? Is Lord Cornwallis hiding something? What did the Obsidian do with the Heirloom blade?

The Obsidian are clearly tailing the party, having stowed aboard as they take off from Bon Venon. Upon searching, the group found and removed the stowaways, tracking them to a small village between Bon Venon and their destination.
Both were murdered, a golden chain of elven make found on one of the two.

Lord Cornwallis was quite paranoid about the watchers and listeners in Bon Venon, thinking they might be attempting to keep tabs on him and the group. Unfortunately, he was correct.
