Evoker
An evoker is a magic user who specializes in the evocation school of magic, which encompasses spells that create and channel elemental and arcane energy. Alongside conjuration, evocation is considered the most dangerous school of magic.

While wizarding universities have particular paths of study for evokers (as they might for any school), the evoker's path is usually the least strictly proscribed, in large part because of the prevalence of evocation within granted magic. Unprepared evokers, however, do not last long in the field—mishaps in evocation magic are as likely to prove deadly for the user as for their surroundings.
Sorcerers and warlocks who specialize in evocation typically begin with an affinity for one particular element; for instance, a sorcerer from a draconic bloodline will manifest spells of their ancestor's preferred element long before any other. Wizards, on the other hand, are usually educated in the basics of many power sources before choosing one as their signature element.
Perception
Purpose
Because of the dangerous nature of their magic, evokers tend to be most useful in battle, either as independent adventurers or within a larger organized military or paramilitary force. Evokers who seek a life of peace typically either take up a secondary trade (within the arcane arts or outside of them), or end up as academics and professors teaching the art of evocation to others.
Social Status
Evocation is a dangerous field, and known evokers are often treated with suspicion and given a wide berth. Cities or regions with their own intelligence operations almost always keep covert lists of the evokers known to live within their borders in case of major magical accidents. Among fellow wizards, evokers are seen as hotheaded, hubristic, and overly showy. Copper novels, on the other hand, often idolize evokers over any other type of wizard, and many famous series follow fictionalized evokers on their adventures.
