Five Sisters of Fire
The Five Sisters of Fire were the matriarchs of the original nuél-orokh tribes. They were five priestesses hand-picked by Ilga the Brave in her old age to continue spreading Prometheus's gift of fire.
Only one of the five women, Dunzha, was Ilga's daughter by blood. The others were early followers of Ilga who demonstrated exceptional bravery and cleverness. Orokh tribes did not typically give surnames, but each of the five sisters took the surname Vohoni (Orokhimshe for "of the light") as a symbol of their devotion and their connected mission. The modern-day title Vohoni, given to highly venerated philosopher-poets within nuél-orokh societies, is an homage to the legacy of the Five Sisters.
Structure
Each of the Five Sisters was the leader of a band of nuél-orokhim, and responsible for growing their band in size and power and eventually naming their own successor.
Disbandment
The Five Sisters of Fire and their tribes were massacred in Y236 by the forces of Kishin the Indomitable during The Extinguishing. After all of the sisters and their successors were killed in battles within the span of a few months, the original tribes they led broke down into tiny nomadic bands that were nearly defenseless against the marauding orokhim hordes.
