Ilgaslana

Ilgaslana (December 27th) is the highest holy day in traditional nuél-orokh society. It celebrates the day that Prometheus first brought fire to Ilga the Brave, the founding mother of the nuél-orokhim.   Traditional celebrations of Ilgaslana involve symbolically passing light or flame around a community. In Tygrar, for instance, a beacon is lit in the town square, from which the Lords Mayor light torches they pass to other community leaders, slowly spreading the flame down the street until every household has lit torches and candles from each others' flames. At The Beaconhold, one thousand floating lanterns are set aloft in the countryside from the tallest tower.
