Swiftwater Legions
The Swiftwater Legions are the Nuél-orokh tribe based in the Southern Duchy of Dreibach, primarily around the Dreibach River. They are sworn enemies of the Murder of the Mudbanks. Unique among the Prairie Clans, they make heavy use of swiftboats and rafts, and they are known even among Orokhim for their inventiveness and cunning.
Fewer Legion members are Bankhur riders than in the other nuél-orokhim Prairie Clans, since they are rather difficult to transport on smaller boats. They are also known to chase the ducks that the Legions keep for companionship and eggs (ducks are almost never eaten as meat, except as punishment for a crime).
Religion
The Swiftwater Legions, like all Nuél-orokh tribes, are followers of Prometheus. Other localized river gods, such as Nármada, are sometimes regarded as divines.

The Legions are divided into five platoons: the Udtrvyat, the Dvatrvyat, the Tritrvyat, the Chetyatrvyat, and the Pyatryat. The leader of each platoon is the Michnyakim. Leadership transfers between each of the five michnyakim on a yearly basis, with each serving a turn as the Urmichnyakim.
