Unicorn
Unicorns are Celestial beings that resemble white horses. They often live in the Feywild, where they serve as ambassadors and guardians of the boundaries between the Fey and the Upper Planes.
Most stories of unicorns walking among mortals take place in the Eldar Wood. Unicorns are often used as a symbol of Brigid, and seen on the family crests of many Scaladosian families who primarily worship her.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Unicorns resemble small horses, usually standing under five feet high at the shoulder. Their coat is pure white, with long, silver manes and tails. Their hooves resemble mother-of-pearl, as does the single, spiraling horn that grows out of the center of their forehead.
Behaviour
Unicorns are shy, solitary, and gentle creatures. They are reluctant to show themselves to mortals unless they can sense their innate goodness; even then, they most often avoid older mortals, instead communicating with the young and innocent.

Uses, Products & Exploitation
Killing a unicorn is a profound act of evil. Anyone who lands the killing blow on a unicorn gains a mark on their Soul that attracts Devils and taints them in the eyes of the gods. Even Clerics and Paladins, using particular methods of faith-enhanced sight, can see the mark of desecration borne by a unicorn slayer.
That said, the ground hooves and horn of a unicorn possess incredible magic. When consumed in a tincture or potion, they can grant renewed youth, extend lifespans, and cure otherwise incurable diseases of old age. They are said to be valued in some necromancy traditions, and possibly serve as a component of the Clone spell.
Byproducts given freely when the unicorn is alive do not incur a mark of desecration, but instead grant incredible holy power. A unicorn will sometimes allow someone who does it a favor to pluck a hair from its tail. These hairs can be used in a number of ways: kept inside magical lockets, woven into cloaks of protection, or brewed into highly effective healing potions. A few legendary bows are said to be strung with unicorn's hair.
In extremely rare instances, unicorns have been known to nurse lost children who come near their dens in the woods. Aria Celendriana, founder of Kyolondë, was said to have been raised on unicorn's milk, which turned her into an Aasimar with a unicorn's long, silver hair.
