Provisional Joint American Armed Forces
The Provisional Joint American Armed Forces (PJAAF) was a transitional military force as a part of North American unification. As the United North American States was formed, the PJAAF was conceived as a stepping stone between the individual militaries of the United States, Mexico, and Canada and a unified North American military.
The PJAAF officially assumed authority of all military units on 01 July 2142. Changes were made incrementally and gradually over several years to accustom troops to their new circumstances. Uniforms and unit lineages initially remained the same, with the only visual changes being the adoption of the UNAS flag and PJAAF branch insignia. By 2146, the Provisional Joint American Armed Forces had completed their transition to the various UNAS Armed Forces, to include three branches of Terrestrial Forces (UNAS Army, UNAS Navy, UNAS Air Force) and three corresponding branches of Guard Forces (UNAS National Guard, UNAS Coast Guard, UNAS Air Guard).
