Havok Commander

Unorthodox military commanders granted the full control of the independant Havok formations within the Kratoth Legion. They are senior soldiers whose power and methods are not compatible with the more rigid Legion templates or whose individual powers upsets the power balance within the ranks.

History

It is said that the word "Havok" was first heard during the Eternal Conquest in French-speaking. The word denotes chaos and pillage, be it by the hands of Demons or their opponents. Lord-Orator Antisophor introduced the term into the military ranks for reasons unknown. At first the term was derogatory for individualist soldiers who broke ranks and caused mayhem. They were often newly evolved Archdemons enamoured with their new strengths. Over time the idea to let such powerhouses free reign with their tactics was implemented and Havok squads formation slowly came to be.

Cultural Significance

Nowadays Havok Commanders are enigmatic figures that can be the targets of awe, envy and hate by both the populace and the regular Legionnaires. They answer to higher authorities and can opperate without input.

Notable Holders

The famed Ar Amon was once an Havok-Commander before his ascension to Demon Lordship and with it his installation as Lord-General of the Empire. While his dishonorable tactics and pitiful downfall would stain the glory of Havok, it hasn't managed to downgrade the position's value.
