Cauven (Kaw-vin)

Cauven is the homeworld of the Vyllk species, but has come to house numerous other species, and is a relatively familiar environment to those that cross universes. The planet has marginally lower gravity than most, and tends to extend its best evolution to flyers, insects, light or tough plant materials, and soaring mountains. Its prominent biomes include tend to be floral and temperate, leaning a bit on the colder side, but selective hot regions do exist. Kwuatii makes for the largest mostly hot-desert climate, but otherwise the planet often associates deserts with cold, with most water carried by the wind but retaining chilled plains and more lush riches often found blocked by a mountain.   The vyllk actually discovered rift travel relatively fast, between odd metals and storms that could break into a strange portal tear. More so, other races also found them, with colonies quickly setting up across the planet. The K'siiva long welcomed them into the original empire, and upon its collapse, a few have settled on Cauven in retreat. Ryclin were among the first to invite them afar for work, while Grina and Vahamin races were quick to colonize pockets of Cauven itself in later years. Over time, Cauven became known for vyllk entertainment, a special liquid metal called Koovrot that runs rich across the planet, and the religious virtues and taste of Vyllk has lead to a vast export of vyllkard meat itself.    Cauven's early integration with Orbital Archipelago trade has lead the vyllk to become close allies with the likes of vahamin and ryclin, and many even take up residence upon it, but for numerous semantic and political issues the planet itself is NOT part of the Orbital Archipelago itself. Rather its existence in Kasar has lead it to become known as a crucial piece to a "sister" universe system with rooted ties to the Orbital Archipelago network. Cauven has largely become the face and core traffic zone for all that interaction, with its closest other competitor perhaps being the legally ignored StarStone-12 (of which, actually has a healthy number of vyllk residents as well). Oddly enough the only odd diminishing allies seems to be between the vyllk and Ho'naht, which once worked together alongside the ryclins before a civil war called for the ho'nahts to return, and they seemingly never made any strong work or connections to Cauven or vyllks since then. This could also be because the ryclins were eating vyllks before it was common, and were theorized to have slowly consumed nearly all contacts from that era.
