The Vanguard

Is a organization originally founded by the Skonort Federation under the name "Star Patrol". It was a founded by the combined efforts of the federation, with the assistance of The Tigiren , Boarian and Kojexin Coalition, and the Riffarians. The goal of the star patrol was to amass a peace force to operate with multiple government approval in order to assist with Disaster relief, put a stop to cross space piracy and drug runs, as well as deal with threats in a quicker way.

The Three Eras:

The organization has three main eras starting with the Star Patrol, followed by Galactic Guardians, and finally becoming Known as The Vanguard after being purchased by Sycore behind the scenes.

As Star Patrol:

Originally founded before The Splinter(The Tigiren Civil War), the three major powers joined forces in building an organization to help combat a common mutual issue the three were facing in the form, of pirates, drug runners, and hostile takeovers of smaller worlds, such as Algradash and many small worlds. This early version of the Vanguard was a closed membership made up of appointed Boarians, Skonorts, Riffarians, and even tikerins who chose to work in Star Patrol as an approved alternative to mandatory army enlistment. Once the tigerin civil war started the Star Patrol fell apart with most of its bases throughout space that owned by a head of a family turned on each other and fought. some even turning against some of the worlds they saved in attempt to establish their new home base there.
As the result of it's tarnished name, the few remaining bases of Star Patrol not under tigiren rule, joined forces to form the Galactic Guardians and remained true to the original goal

As The Galactic Guardians:

Now being mostly run by volunteers and enlisted men supported by Boarians, Skonorts, Riffarians, and tikerins, they stayed true to the original objective of The Star Patrol which had become currupt and serving hostile tigiren sects.
Initially, like it's predecessor it wasn't an open group, but after a few decades and legislation that came from necessity due to major issues by the tigirens and other bad actors, the group decided to open it's doors to anyone who is in good standing, and wished to join.
Unlike later on with the Vanguard, there was no official concept of teams, any members from the GG were allowed to pair up into teams to achieve goals, and weren't required to maintain said team after the mission was completed.
While the organization as mostly heroic, there weren't any strict center definitions or rules of conduct of what 'Heroic' as such some teams though had noble intentions caused some issues resulting in wars in some less developed worlds. as a result of a few high profile cases, a code of conduct has been set, and a several high moral members of the GG were elected to a more organized GG council who were put in charge of investigating situations acting as a middle man between the various members and the clients.
During the later half of the era, the Galactic Guardians started accepting job requests from none political clients due to a rise or rather, more awareness of the lower scale issues. this was called the Vanguard Initiative which started the era where the GG became more like the modern day Vanguard.

As Pre-Sycore Vanguard:

After the Original Galactic Guardians returned to its roots as force operating entirly under the Coalition of multiple planets and races, The Vanguard Initiative formed into its own Organization maintained by the new council, and was manned mostly by former Galactic Guardians who wished to continue with the Vanguard, and an influx of volunteers wishing to do good.
This phase of the Vanguard was the longest running, spanning over a century. Until three tigiren sects joined forces to take control of what they believed were their territories, resulting in long battle between them, and the Vanguard and Galactic Guardians. And despite help from the likes of New Earth and even The Zeanite Empire, the damage was done, the GG fell, and the Vanguard lost most of it's funding as a result of the sects actions.

Modern Day Vanguard:

About ten years later, a sycore agent approached the council members in private with an offer to purchase The Vanguard Organization and be their sponsor, promising them their continued survival without worry, while also promising to maintain their current work ethics. after much debate and a majority rule, The Vanguard was purchased by Sycore under shell cooperation Named The Vanguard.
After a few decades, after some changes in sycore, Sycore made a few changes, such as forbidding the Vanguard from interfering with Sycore business, and offer the use of chip injection swhich was stated to be to act as status monitors, and as well as tracking features to find them incase of needing rescue.
By this time, most of the vanguard council has passed away or resigned, being replaced either with secret Sycore agents or figure heads. Sycore affileation is kept clandestine.
