Tiamat the Mother of Dragons betrays the light
The betrayal of Tiamat, the mother of dragons, was a significant turning point in the war between light and dark. As the commander of the dragons within the light forces, Tiamat grew disillusioned with the incompetence and disregard for her children's lives displayed by the higher commands. This frustration led her to rebel against the light, wreaking havoc upon their camps, supplies, and armies, causing immense destruction and claiming the lives of millions. Attempts were made by the Archons to send the dragons to confront Tiamat, but they all refused to fight their own mother, despite her betrayal. The Archons, along with Archlord Kristya, were compelled to leave the frontlines and face Tiamat themselves. The ensuing battle between Tiamat and the Archons, including Archlord Kristya, was a monumental clash that resulted in substantial damage to both sides. However, despite their efforts, the Archons and Archlord Kristya could not fully defeat Tiamat, as she proved to be incredibly powerful. In a desperate move, the Archons and Archlord Kristya were forced to seal Tiamat away, harnessing their collective powers to achieve this feat. With Tiamat contained, the immediate threat seemed to dissipate. However, during the battle, Tiamat expressed her grievances to her attackers, highlighting how they were merely pawns of the gods and how Holactie's decisions led them on foolish and suicidal missions. While most of the Archons dismissed her words as those of a traitor, Asophiel found himself deeply affected by her words. The words of Tiamat resonated within Asophiel, creating a lingering doubt and unrest in his heart. Over time, this seed of doubt would grow and eventually lead to Asophiel's own betrayal. The impact of Tiamat's words on Asophiel's psyche would gradually unfold, shaping his future actions and decisions in unforeseen ways, and further complicating the already tumultuous conflict between light and dark.
