Captain Eskrid
Eskrid is a black skinned Dragonborn. He is currently serving as a Captain in the service of the red dragon, Lord Pyros. For the last several decades he has been in charge of the garrison at the mining village now known as Orin's Keep.
Biography:
Little is known of Eskrid's early years, as he is not known to forthcoming about his personal history. He was already a seasoned soldier by the time he took command of the garrison at Orin's Keep in in 3469 A.L. Though he is known to be an extremely brutal and effective commander of troops, and an absolute terror in battle, his advancement through the ranks appears to have stalled. He has reported to General Scathe ever since assuming his current position. It is not clear is Scathe has some personal distaste for the captain or if there may be some truth to the rumors that Eskrid was gifted to the martial forces of Pyros by another dragon lord as a gesture of fealty. Eskrid has fought many battles, large and small. He has thoroughly demonstrated his skill with all manner of weapons, from small and large melee weapons to skill with the bow and javelin. He is also an extremely effective commander of troops, though this is likely due more to fear of the brutal warrior rather than respect. He has been known to execute insubordinate soldiers (or really anyone else to raises his ire) on the spot. It was Eskrid to executed Keeper Orin Delon's predecessor, Castus, in 3470 A.L. when the man simply protested the extent of the draconians requisitioning from the village. Eskrid then appointed Orin Delon to assume the position on the spot.
