Baron Thomas Bettigar IV
Thomas the Fourth of his name, 8th baron of Bettigar reigned as his father and his father's father over the land. He was born one generation after The Black Iron Pact was signed and has had no issues living under the Rule of Ajax; he keeps his barony to itself focuses on the farming and mining opportunities that provide for his people. He has taken Bettigar from being one of the most rural and poor baronies to one of the most booming in his reign. He also founded the Tournament of Champions during the Festival of the Tempest; Winners of the tournament were given the honor of being Knighted by the Baron himself, as well as a personal invitation to his emissary guard. Thomas had a knack for coin but was born with a slightly deformed leg, growing up as a child he was kept away from most boys activities and as he grew older, swordplay and knight hood eluded him due to his limitations. Through hosting and developing the tournament culture in Bettigar he fell in love with that aspect of his childhood once again, and let his sons spend hours with the knights of his guard for training.
On the subject of his Family, Thomas has 4 children; a daughter Athena, and 3 sons; Thomas V the oldest, Phillip, and the youngest Edmund Bettigar. His Wife is Lady Laura Bettigar, sister to Black Bottom's Loris Olyn, The master of coin.
