Jincarna

The Jincarna is mysterious; even for Marsember locals- The term describes a social caste of powerful magic users who live in the isolated community of the Mages Quarter. The lives of Jincarna are extremely regimented, from birth they are expected to enter the service of the Jincarna’s organisation branch. The Jincarna oversee The Battican  and defend Marsember’s walls. They make up the officer class of the various city watch guilds and unite the libertarian city in times of national crisis. All that most people know of the internal operations of the Jincarna has be learnt from the rare runaways: members who reject their civil duty and leave the Mages Quarter- often to be found holding up the bar at some dive in the docks district.
