Proskur

The city of Proskur is certainly independent {read strange}. Formed largely on the back of an active thieves guild, the transition from small settlement and trading post to city was most influenced by the prolific and well organised thieves, brigands, smugglers and vagabonds {read politicians} of the dusty city on the edge of the great plains. Today the thieves guild is open, a key part of the day to day operations of Proskur, a sort of fierce, gentle libertarian attitude excuses things considered crimes elsewhere— mostly people get along. As long as no one gets caught. The broad plains of Gold Fields stretch away to the South, mountains rise to the North and caravans crawl along the broad central road that generates almost all of Proskurs wealth. Mercenaries, grain, beer, information and transport can be acquired cheaply. The rules are more guidelines in Proskur— besides, who are you gonna tell? The Thieves Guild?
