The party encounters a familiar threat, returns the newborn creature to its remaining family, finally steps out of the underdark, and comes to an unexpected revelation.

A Hint of a Breeze

Following what they hoped were the newborn creature's parent's footprints back into the tunnels, the party came to a crossroads where a faint, salty breeze could be felt. Excited for their first glance of sunlight, the party eagerly pursued it. The tunnels, changing from marble to stone, Fyl led the way, with the newborn in tow, in hopes of finding the creature's mother.   The tunnel expands into a massive chamber, a massive statue the centerpiece of the room. The tracks, leading around the structure, continued past into the dark, although a faint glimmer of light could be seen. Anxious for the light at the end of the tunnel, the party hurried past, into a series of rooms overgrown with roots from above, and cracks hinting at a lit sky above.   Coming across the body of the presumably the newborn's mother, some of the party feel like they're being watched. Suspecting a trap of some sort, the party plots their next move, as the sound of a shattering crystal, seems to seal off their path forward, and a familiar figure steps out of the shadows.

A Familiar Foe

A symbol of a large purple dragon on his chest, with tentacles writhing behind him. Purple eyes. Him Again. "Ah, how good to see you again. My lord told me you would be here. And how kind of you to bring us the key! You all may have given us the slip last time, but this time I will fulfill my destiny, and you will all become my new specimens. Just like this one" pointing at the dead creature, and gesturing with the horn in his hand. "Take the girl, the construct, and the gnome alive; kill the rest!"   Attacked by five zombies, along with the hooded figure, the party eventually succeeded in downing him. One of the zombies was revealed to the be the amphibious humanoid in disguise, who managed to flee as the party emerged victorious, in a beam of light. As they inspected the body of the hooded figure, they realize it's a heavily modified elf, before they see a pair of eyes glow in the darkness. "We will meet again travellers, I will be patiently waiting for your return." The eyes fade away.

The Light at the end of the Tunnel

With the barrier to the outside removed, the father of the the creature queries about what happened. Fork explains everything, and the creature heals those of the party injured. The party collects the various equipment from the the hooded figure's body, while Bulgey does what Bulgey does. Fork changes his scent to encourage the baby to go to its father.   Stepping outside, the party finds themselves on a wooded bluff under a storm cloud filled sky. Brian takes wing and feels finally back at home, while Fork returns to Fyl, laying on the ground and just taking the early morning sky in.   The newborn, seemingly torn between its father and Fyl has a moment with her before following its father. Tilly calls for Iskandar, and for once it seems to work.   To the north, a cliff, trees, a coastline, and a town. At the mention of a town, Fyl sits up and takes a look. She recognizes the terrain, but the city is entirely too small. It's Stormreach... but not. She asks Kerani what year it is, who confusedly explains it's 940. Fyl immediately returns to "Wary" Fork, his expression falling, as he explains to the others that they're about a thousand years too early. Meanwhile, a silver dragon approaches the party from the distance. Iskandar.
