Hetai'reine

The Hetai'reine ("Companions" - see "History" for etymology) are a unique formation of Les Chevaliers d'Outremer, in direct service to and acting as the bodyguard of Queen Haalis of Antak'ya. Armed with captured T'au technology, the Hetai'reine fight as highly mobile infantry armed with devastating heavy weaponry.

History

The name Hetai'reine is a Gothique-inspired corruption of the T'au Hetai'roi ("companions"), the name originally given to the unit in the T'au-influenced Antak'ya. However, confusion of the final element with the Gothique Roi ("King") led to it being replaced with the Gothique Reine ("Queen") to denote they were the bodyguards of one of Les Quartres Reines, Princess Haalis of Antak'ya.
