The Dawnshout Dynasty
Structure
The Dynasty is ruled by the Dawnshout family. Nepotism is rampant and bloodlines are kept as pure as possible without marrying brother to sister. (Though it is rumored to have happened once or twice.)
Head of the house is usually a man or woman who is already married or gets married during their coronation because once they are crowned as Dawnfather or Dawnmother, all citizens become their children.
Public Agenda
The Kingdom is running out of resources and the people are beginning to get worried. The heads of house have promised to find new land for the Windborne to move their floating islands to.
Assets
The Dynasty's greatest assets are their Windriders and the floating islands the Windborne call home.
Technological Level
Technology in the Dawnshout Dynasty was fairly advanced compared to many other places in Ovenica. The use of Dragons as mounts and companions has made it necessary to create tools and accommodations that allow Dragons to exist independently within the Dynasty. Wider streets, large homes with some rooms that open into the sky and multi-storied buildings with reinforced bases that won't collapse when a Dragon lands on the roof.
Necessary advancements in technology lead to many discoveries and advancements not intended. The most important of these is gunpowder. A few poorly timed explosions lead to fireworks and, eventually, to very crude firearms wielded by The Dawn's Light. However, since the expedited advancements in technology in Ovenica the people of The Ash Coast have fallen behind in this regard.
