The Dark Queen

It doesn't happen much, but when Maraphel decides to turn toward Evil instead of Good, their ruler is the Dark Queen. This usually does mean a woman, although some men have attempted dressing up to fit the qualification. Mostly if it's a man in charge, he does so behind the scenes, leaving a woman as the puppet ruler.
The Dark Queen is a respected honorific worldwide. It is a moniker occasionally used by other countries, but traditionally mainly Maraphel. (Much like the term The Overlord is used for the general category but also the leader of Denyithragorathia)
