Rictus The Brass Dragon
Rictus
Rictus is an adult brass dragon who was exiled from the Council of Dragokar after they found him lacking the amount of intelligence to be a worthy member of their kin, though he believes he was merely sent out into the world to explore its many wonders.
Rictus is a very social dragon, but to those who meet him it's pretty clear he seems to be missing a few screws.
He traveled the lands of Oxum until he met up with Ricardo, a Master Thief who's guild was destroyed in the Dohkterius Disaster together with the capitol with the same name.
Now, he is the co-founder of the R&R Repossession Agency, a totally-not-thieves-guild where he acts as the guardian over the guild's vault and aerial transport for the more complex jobs.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Rictus was born on the Brass Cliff within the World's Maw where most Brass dragons originate from.
His birth was, however, the start of his life's greatest hurdle.
Before he was able to hatch, Rictus' egg rolled out of its nest, falling several meters before smacking into the rough rock floor below.
Though this did not kill wyrmling Rictus, it damaged part of his brain which led to his mental development being severely hindered and eventually, never surpassing that of a young dragon's mind.
While his parents tried their best to give Rictus and his siblings the best upbringing they could, once other members of the council started to notice Rictus' damaged mental state once he neared adulthood, they forced his parents to exile him or their entire bloodline would be shunned and expelled from the lands.
Seeing no way out and fearing that being shunned might endanger their family, they told Rictus to travel far and wide to see all the wonders of Oxum and to be the adventurer he was destined to be.
Not questioning his parent's wisdom, the gullible dragon packed his favourite things, waved his parents goodbye and flew out into the wide world, seeking adventure to make his parents proud.
He met many characters throughout his travels, befriending many with his innocent look on the world and helpful demeanor, gathering riches and shiny things he liked as he went.
After saving a group of adventurers from the sinking city of Dohkterius during the city's destruction, the dragon met Ricardo, with whom he founded the R&R Repossession Agency under an old ruin in a town close to the now-destroyed city.
He now lives a happy life there among his new friends, helping out the agents with their tasks and telling tales to the small band of kobolds he adores.
Mental Trauma
The fall onto the rocky floor has given Rictus a permanent mental impairment, resulting in the dragon acting like a young dragon despite physically being an adult.
He does not seem to notice he is impaired compared to his friends, nor does it hinder his day-to-day life although it results in him making occasional absurd remarks or illogical statements, as well as being very gullible when listening to people he considers wise.
