ACC Routes

But the people working in Efficiency recognised what they had found and quickly pivoted to enhance and complete this new opportunity."
Utility
The ACC Routes were developed by Peacekeeper Efficiency and are owned exclusively by the Peacekeeper Alliance. Any use of the technology has to be sanctioned by The Alliance and is currently only being used for Alliance-specific business. In addition, only mandated spacecraft are able to commission the technology to run on ACC routes. These craft are normally for freight craft like the Automated Cargo Conveyor rather than personned craft.Manufacturing
The routes are constructed using a combination of faintly magnetic compounds along with gravitationally dense material with electronics inlaid along one side. The compounds are only mildly magnetic in order to avoid attracting space debris and causing issues with smaller spacecraft whose engines aren't strong enough to avoid it.
This is then compiled by Routelayers, a Peacekeeper-specific vehicle which places first the magnetic compounds, then gravitationally dense material and then the electronics are set last.
Social Impact
The development of ACC routes allowed for the development of Automate Cargo Conveyors. These vehicles removed the need for people to travel to and from unpersonned Factory Planets thus reducing the number of deaths and the amount of cargo lost due to user error.
Some say that space has become more dangerous since the introduction of the ACC routes, as they can cause issues for one-person vessels which come too close. However these individual deaths are not worth the notice of The Alliance and come nowhere near the value, time and effort the invention has saved.
