History

In the aftermath of the schism that led to the creation of the Drow, many elves sought to strengthen their connection to the natural world and its inherent magic. A group of these elves, led by powerful mages and druids, discovered pathways to a plane of existence suffused with unsolved mysteries and lands of uncharted - The Feywild.
Fascinated by this realm of raw, unbridled nature and magic, these elves began to spend increasingly long periods in the Feywild. Over generations, their extended exposure to the plane's magical energies began to change them both physically and spiritually. These changes marked the birth of the Eladrin as a distinct elven subrace.
The Eladrin's transformation was gradual. Firstly, their physical appearance became more ethereal, with hair and eye colors reflecting the vibrant hues of the Feywild. Then, they developed deeper connection to Feywild, allowing them to shorten path in similar way that Misty Step did. In the end their emotional states became intrinsically linked to the seasons of the Feywild, influencing both their temperament and their magical abilities.
As the Eladrin adapted to life in the Feywild, they built magnificent cities that blended seamlessly with the natural landscape. These settlements, such as the legendary city of Astrazalian, became beacons of elven culture and magic, rivaling the greatest cities of the material plane.
The Eladrin's proximity to the raw magic of the Feywild led them to develop unique forms of magic and art. They became masters of illusion and enchantment, their music and dance capable of shaping reality itself. This mastery further blurred the line between the Eladrin and the native fey creatures of the realm.
