Civilization and Culture
History
The Half-Giants of the Cursed Mountains are not the result of interbreeding, but rather a unique offshoot of giantkind shaped by the mystical properties of their home. After the Fall of the Titans and the scattering of giantkind, a group of giants sought refuge in the Cursed Mountains.
The mountains, known for their mysterious and often malevolent magical properties, had a profound effect on these giants. Over generations, they were transformed and diminished in size, becoming what are now known as Half-Giants. This transformation, viewed by some as a curse and by others as an adaptation, allowed them to survive in the harsh, magical environment of the Cursed Mountains.
Despite their reduced stature compared to true giants, Half-Giants retained much of their ancestors' strength and durability. The curse or transformation also granted them exceptional resilience to cold, allowing them to thrive in the frigid mountain climate.
Isolated from other giant-kin and surrounded by the mystical energies of the Cursed Mountains, the Half-Giants developed a unique culture centered around shamanic traditions and the worship of Odin, whom they may have adopted as a patron deity in the absence of the Titans.
