A Clowder of Cats
General Summary
Cedric had lived in life on the outskirts long enough. It was time to set out on his first adventure! He took up a job from the board and eagerly awaited the arrival of his first adventuring companions. Anathema, Axel, and Lorenzo all arrived on time to find Cedric waiting paitently next to the job board at Jack O Napes tavern in Falcon's Hollow.
After some long deliberation, the party decided not to take the portal in Fjordhaven and set out on a trek across the mountains on foot. It took them about 9 days to arrive in Xiomara. Along the way they fought off a giant toad, a giant eagle, and a pest of a guard in the Hobgoblin Nation. Finally, they arrived in Xiomara only to wait in line to register upon entry into the city.
Not quite knowing where to locate the Flame of the Forest Inn, Cedric stopped to ask a nice old lady for directions. After a longwinded conversation she finally pointed them in the right direction.
Once at the inn, it was a bit of a kerfuffle to locate Petunia in the midsts of all of the catfolk, but once they did she took them immediately to her home that was infested with rats. Not sure how things work she handed them a bag of gold up front.
The fight against the rats did not go as smoothly as they expected. Anathema got her dagger stuck in a barrel almost right from the start. The rest had trouble making contact with the nasty creatures. Eventually, they made their way through the house killing all rats hiding under the furniture and in the ceiling.
A swarm of rats almost took Anathema out in the basement but thankfully Axel was able to kill off the swarm before they could do enough damage.
The party went back to announce to Petunia that they had been successful. She was very please until she found out they had just LEFT THE DEAD RATS IN THE HOUSE! Axel pulled out a couple he had roasted and sent her screaming back into the kitchen. This produced a visit from Mrs. Blodwen who scolded the group sharply for creating a disturbance and being rude. Once they had apologized Anathema went to visit the local hospital to seek healing for the disease she earned from the rat swarm and the rest of the party went their separate ways.
