Emergency Relief: Xiomara to West Haven
General Summary
Tiff, Rico, Ashertiel and Elliot gathered together at the Keep in Xiomara. After a rousing speech from Raffyr about not doing anything to give The Sovereignty anything they could use to denounce the Arbour Kingdom with, the caravan left. As they neared the border of the kingdom, Tiff noticed a wick sticking out of the ground. As she got off the cart to examine it, a fireball exploded into the first wagon, destroying it. It also lit the wick, which turned out to be a fuse. Some quick thinking with a waterskin allowed Tiff to put out the fuse. However, with a few seconds, five explosions rocked the area from five more fuses she missed (and no one else told her about). The cause of these explosions, and the destruction of the first wagon, was a sorcerer on whom there was nothing but a crudely drawn map of the area with drawings of the caravan and a date.
Moving on, the party entered Hobgoblin Nation territory. At first concerned about entering Lakeside, Billy-Bo-Bob, the caravan's leader, assured them that he had the proper paperwork, supplied after they delivered supplies there the month before. True to his words, the guards at Lakeside took one look at the paperwork and waved them through.
As the party neared the border of The Sovereignty, they made camp for the night. As they pulled of the road to make camp, they were attacked by a pair of ghouls who, despite their obviously greater than the average ghoul skills, still proved largely unable to harm the party. The next day the party took great pains to disguise themselves and their spellcasting abilities. They then proceeded into The Sovereignty's lands, where they were soon stopped by some fey. But not just any fey. They met some members of the Wild Hunt, who told them they would let the rest of the caravan and party go by if Elliot would submit himself to them. Elliot instead fled, and was chased by the Wild Hunt to his first location. He teleported again to West Haven, where he stumbled into a teleport trap, ending up in a jail with an antimagic field. There he was beaten into unconsciousness by Carnage the Bear. When he woke up, he was stripped of his possessions and gear. Using his tattooed boots of teleportation, he escaped to safety where he found a note:
"Your possessions are being held ransom, to be returned should Rico, Tiff or Raffyr come to stand trial in West Haven for the crime of summoning a hurricane to destroy The Havens. Runa will stand as judge."
Meanwhile, the rest of the caravan arrived at Dryads Mill, where officials there offered to take over responsibility of transporting the goods the rest of the way to West Haven. Agreeing, the party got them to sign documents proving the goods were delivered and unloaded on the ground. Leaving the town, they travelled far enough to be out of sight and then teleported back to Xiomara
