General Summary
It was finally time to take over PERN, the abandoned settlement had been a thorn in the Sovereign's side for too long. gathering together a few trusted companions and the great armies of the Sovereignty they began to march upon the city. With the power of magic Nihilus arrived first with the strongest of their monstrous army to scout and prepare for the arrival of the rest of their troops. While waiting, Nihilus was rudely awakened by one of the beast's riders, warning him about an approaching army from the settlement. Nihilus, expecting they were only coming to parley, waited for them to approach. Though, as the approaching armies began to fan out attempting to encircle his position it was clear they had other intentions. Nihilus chose to try and fight his way out, and soon the two armies were engaged in brutal battle. Nihilus found himself undermanned and outgunned though and was forced to retreat and gather his forces properly.
This time with the entirety of his forces brought to, Nihilus set up a war camp both to allow time for his own plans to manifest and for Grud to scout the area. Grud found the inhabitants attempting to set traps around the area between their army and the city. making quick work of the men burying the traps, he took the barrels of explosive liquid and threw them onto the walls, setting them ablaze. Burning a hole in their defenses and waking the forces who'd been given time to rest as the alarm was raised. As the morning came the armies of The Sovereignty set out to attack. The fighting was fierce, leaving heavy casualties on both side. But in the end the Sovereign's leadership and Grud's martial prowess led to a firm victory for the Sovereignty. And thanks to the bloody fog hanging over the settlement, those who lost their lives that day were raised as mindless undead roaming the settlement they once called home.
