- Skin covered with tattoo-like feather patterns, especially dense on forearms, chest and shins.

Powers: inhaled wind elemental allows
- Gust-like exhalations able to knock people over - but unable to manually focus them.
- Breath has no reaction, enabling its use to propel sailing ships or to use a small sail to "fly".
- Able to hold breath indefinitely
- Can use a pipe to exhale smokescreens
- Limitation: extended use shreds his throat, to the point of coughing up blood/infections, meaning tricks like blowing into sails to propel ships is only used in extremis.

- Taken under the wing of a Courser captain, who gets him trained by a former Navigators' Order member (as well as various other travels). the Coursers have expanded by this point in history to a smuggling/criminal operation to rival The Whispers, and after a protracted conflict they are defeated.
- Serves as sailor, navigator, mapmaker, captain and owner at various points in his life. a Smuggler, ship-for-hire, pirate, soldier.
