Realm 1: The Isle

Grasslands encompass most of The Isle, ranging from the west to east coasts, and the south flanked by an expansive forest. Life on the Isle is rough as dangerous creatures lurk on the mainland, outside of the safety of settlements. For this reason, most transport is done either by escort of guards, or by sailing sloops. Fortunately a tight current keeps any boat close to shore as they navigate counterclockwise around the Isle.   Urthspyre, the largest settlement, is built around a tower that reaches beyond the clouds.

Geography

Sitting in an infinite sea lies a grassland filled isle, with mostly flat lands until breaking up into hills toward the east.   A dense forest takes up the southern half of the isle.

Natural Resources

Wood from the forest, stone quarries, hunting grounds, fishing, grains from the fields, etc.

History

The known history of the realm is rather young and tells of a fledgling group of people who united together under one banner. Roughly less than 500 years to the date, representatives of six races organized a small camp establishing the first Council. This camp would eventually develop into a sprawling city, around the base of a sky-reaching tower giving the settlement its name of Urthspyre.

Major Recent Events

  • YR 465 May 23rd of the 2nd ERA - The council of Urthspyre declares the beginning of a new age as a group calling themselves the 'Keybearers' opens "The Tower" for the first time in recorded history.
  • YR 467 December 28th of the 2nd ERA - The Silverhawk family hold a wedding for their eldest daughter in Urthsypre. Though the event does not go according to plan due to interference from the 'Keybearers' Guild. Days later, this results in the split of the Grand Order, a religious organization in Urthspyre. The Silverhawk Knights, replace them.

Tourism

With the discovery of new realms, it is now a common sight to see their inhabitants visiting the capital of Urthspyre. New races of people such as Gnomes, Dragonborn, Sharkin, and the desert dwellers from Anusis, now frequent the city. They are drawn to the town as a place of trade, and a cultural center for 'Urthspryian' people.
