Clair
A quaint little town about 30 kilometers south of Dot Clyr.
It’s basically a town square with a few streets radiating out from it. Where the young people living there can’t wait to move to the big city, while their parents and grandparents enjoy the quiet life and strive to win the "Best Small Town of the Year" award.
Unconfirmed rumors claim that the town Clair was the town in which Tal Mapre stayed in a safe house for several months after defecting from Nagri, and that he wrote his most famous novel, The Riots of Edaris Pelu during that time. Thieian military intelligence will not confirm or deny any such rumors, as any statement could risk compromising any safe house that may or may not still be in use.
Clair can only be found on the maps of a single map publishing company, giving the impression that the town is a copyright trap. In fact, the same officials who won’t confirm or deny the existence of a safe house, also refuse to confirm or deny the existence of the town itself, and refer to copyright issues. Claims from conspiracy theorists, that the map publisher is secretly run by members military intelligence are neither denied or confirmed.

Geography
Clair is in an area of mostly flat farmland, just a few kilometers from the coast, with a narrow river running through the town itself. The town is in a valley that the river has carved through the landscape, so when approaching on the ground you don’t really see the town until you reach the valley and can look down into it, with the exception of the clock tower on the town hall, which is higher than the valley is deep. Strategically planted trees still obscure the tower a lot of the time when you travel the roads towards the town.
