Sohmweyr Town Guard

Sohmweyr's town guard is a pretty informal affair, but given the relatively dangerous wildlife and the distance to help, it's work that is taken seriously.
During daylight hours there's generally:

• One guard stationed atop the crane for long visibility
• One taking a slow cart circuit of the town path

At night:

• One patrolling the town wall
• One taking a slow cart circuit of the town path with a lantern

All the guards have horns and blow them when they spot trouble. Most of the guards are a bit older folk, retired from life on the road and only too happy for a steady job with a few hot meals. Off duty guards are usually at the common house, the market, or sleeping in one of the unclaimed tents.
