Serengeti
A tropical island on the Canter Sea overrun by pirates, outlaws, and other unscrupulous folks. While the permanent population is low- and plagued with poverty- the island acts as a hub and recruitment center for most of its temporary and recurring residents.
Geography
The majority of the island is taken up by a vast, dense jungle known for its rich and varied wildlife. Most never wander deep due to fear of either the animals or unverified rumors of powerful, wicked mages or hostile groups of settlers who keep themselves isolated from outsiders.
The inhabited portions of the island are mostly the sandy beach shores that border the jungle.

Tourism
Once a very popular tourist destination, it is now usually avoided due to the rampant criminal activity- with the exception of wealthy young adults on spring or summer holidays, who often find themselves awestruck by the tropical atmosphere and the lawlessness.
