Nevarre

High up in the Shyali Mountains of the Caelsimilian Peninsula is the village of Nevarre. The village holds great importance to catfolk everywhere as they've all heard the tales of a "city of nobodies" when they were growing up. The stories say that Nevarre is a place that one cannot find unless they themselves don't wish to be found either. Social outcasts will set out in search of this new home, but for most, they never find it.   In actuality, Nevarre is a village inhabited by a clan of reclusive druidic catfolk. Given their ethereal appearances, those who've seen them say they're not of Basillian ancestry. While they do refer to themselves as "kosmikos" or catfolk, it's very obvious that there's more to them than meets the eye. This clan worships Artiana Aphrona and they treat the large, magical tree in the center of their village as a gift from the supposed goddess herself. It's here that they conduct their worship.   Nevarre is the only place on the material plane that grows Moonglow naturally. The moonglow flower is native to the Feywilds and its existence in the village implies that the veil between both planes is thin here. The flower is berry blue and bell-shaped. They glow and bloom under moonlight and when a moonglow is touched, it releases a small burst of glittering orbs. The druids of Nevarre use them for medicinal and magical purposes.   For nearly five hundred years, Nevarre has been under the threat of Ariamis Madan and his sick desires. The mountain valley that the village resides in has seen its fair share of violence because of his hunting parties and attempts to ruin the delicate ecosystem with a manufactured plague. The worst of his attacks was in recent times, his plague finally breaching Nevarre itself and leaving them too weak to fight back. The archdruid, Grendishi Amall, called upon an old friend of hers for help. Zakina Kociak-Falenmir returned to Nevarre, bringing Rikius Falenmir and Lucky Kociak along with her.   Together, they were able to put an end to Ariamis and their names are carved into the sacred tree as a constant reminder of what they did for the villagers. The clan was able to chase the plague away from the valley and has been restoring it to its former glory ever since.
