Laser Weapons

A slight misnomer, “laser” weapons are actually just plasma weapons with an integrated low-power gravity projector. After the projector has created the outgoing gravity funnel, a white-hot jet of plasma is then ‘dropped’ towards the target before the funnel is closed again - all occurring in the split-second after the trigger is pulled. The end result is a spear of light that can burn right through an enemy, but the projectile itself is not a laser - lasers for many, many reasons are impractical for most offensive uses.
