Elves

Elves, created by Eredell, are bookish individuals who find comfort in the high trees of their home island Vendaria where they can analyze, research, and study their vast collection of knowledge. Since the Gnomes arrived on their airships, many countless parties of elves have been sent to other isles to collect information and add it to their collection.   As purveyors of knowledge both public and private, elves naturally comprise the greatest spy network on Pendent.   While most knowledge can be gained by a calculated social push, some information can only be unearthed by force.

Civilization and Culture

History

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Aasimar

A creature from Altir! Glean all you can from these folk. Perhaps they carry knowledge of the great beyond or their creator.  

Dragonborn

On official terms, many dragonborn will seek out elvish authenticity certifications for their most valuable properties. On unofficial terms, dragonborn will inquire on the private actions of their political opponents to outmaneuver them. No matter the objective, and elf will typically ensure the trade is of information of equal value. Keep the wheel of gossip turning!  

Dwarves

Dwarves tend to publicly ask elves for military data on opponents on their home isle of Dheg Lodar. Rarely, they will ask for more...salacious details.  

Firbolgs

If there's anything to be learned of flora and fauna, firbolgs would know it. The trouble is, not many people care about flora and fauna other than firbolgs.  

Gnomes

These clever folk tend to be talented in both magics and mechanics, and they are capable of keeping their advances secret. Don't try to glean knowledge from their mouths - instead, plan on stealth and subterfuge.  

Goliaths

Goliaths tend to have little interest in history. Their attention tends to reside in the present.  

Halflings

Halflings typically have need for neither spies nor secret knowledge. This, of course, makes elves even more curious.  

Humans

Humans are incredibly curious, and are willing to financially support all elf-kind to sate their appetites. However, their aims are incredibly dangerous.  

Tieflings

A creature from Denara! Glean all you can from these folk. Perhaps they carry knowledge of the great beyond or their creator.

Elves

Darkvision: You eyes are adjusted to seeing in the forest at night when their is little to no light. You an see up to 60 feet in dark and dim conditions, but you cannot see color, only greyscale.   Keen senses: You have profeciency with perception.   Fey ancestry: You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic cannot put you to sleep.   Trance: Elves do not need to sleep. They can meditate in a semiconcious state for 4 hours and acheive the same results as humans sleeping for 8 hours.   Subraces   High elves: +1 intelligence, prficiency with longswords, shortswords, shortbows, and longbows, you know on cantrip of your choice from the wizard spellcasting list and intelligence is your spell casting modifier. you can speak read and write in one extra language.   Wood elves: +1 wisdom. proficiency with longswords, shortswords, shortbows, and longbows. speed increased to 35 ft. you can attempt to hide even when only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, snow, mist, fog, and other natural phenomena.   Aquatic elves: +1 strength. You can breathe underwater and above water. you replace darkvision with enhanced low light vision, which lets you see up to 120 ft. in low light conditions in full color. when swimming, movement speed is increased to 40 ft. proficiency with spears, javalins, tridents, and nets.   Dark Elves: +1 charisma. Darkvision is increased to 120ft. You have disadvantage to attack anything in direct sunlight or near a bright source of light. You know the dancing lights cantrip, when you reach level 3 you can use this feature to cast faerie fire once per long rest, and at level 5 you can cast darkness with this feature once per long rest. You have proficiency with rapiers, shortswords, and hand crossbows.

Languages. Elves can speak read and write in elvish and common.
