Castford Isles

The Castford Isles are a series of four large islands, dozens of small islands, and hundreds of islets off the western coast of Pillarin. The two large northern islands are Alstor and Nestor, which are home to the Free Cities of Fraplego, Tacury, and Postobury. The two southern islands are Helketh and Mino, which have historically remained uninhabited densely forested, and inhabited by dangerous natural predators. The entire region has been controlled by the Carnelian Empire of the Castford Isles, a political alliance of the three Free Cities on Alstor and Nestor unified in the worship of the Carnelian Dragon Nestron.   In 8954, the Carnelian Empire leased the islands of Helketh and Mino to the Harwick Trade Company which established the company towns of Wit Searenil and Ext Edbuton on each island respectively after they had gained experience establishing settlements in the wilds of Plentius.   The Castford Isles became part of the Union of Free Cities when the Carnelian Empire joined in 9032.
