Qhaa (qʰɑ:)
Qhaa is the Serpent God of Justice and Order. Father of S’Sath by the Goddess Maahr-Takk. Father—by the mortal Zhezhoi—of the demigod known as the Jèredeth. Known as Khna /khnɑ/ in Jèredethi; Chaa /xɑ:/ in Hœmmé-Raachern and Ptarshakkian; Choa/Goa /xowɑ/ or Choatl/Goatl /xɔwɑtɬ/ in Yssian; Khahar khɑhɑɹ/ in Kharnnish; Kav /kɑv/ in Daoshi. Among the dwarves of Gruthe, he is called Cawor /kɑwɔr/; the Svor—and some gnomes—use the name Qzaor /qzɑɔr/.
Structure
Qhaaist cults are arranged in 17-member covens; subdivided into five ranks:
Shield of Qhaa: first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth.
Sword of Qhaa: first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth.
Caestus of Qhaa: first, second, third, fourth.
Fist of Qhaa: first, second.
Hand of Qhaa.
As there are 20 ranks and 17 slots, acolytes cannot advance until their immediate superior has advanced or perished.
It is possible to have multiple acolytes of the same rank however. The Hand of Qhaa is the leader of the coven and can promote, demote, discipline, expell, and ordain at will. Multiple covens join in a qabal wherein the Hands serve as duumvirates, triumvirates, quadrumvirates. Hands of Qhaa get the titular affix of Snh-/Snha-, e.g. Snhaullin of Qahaut, Hand of Qhaa.
